Tokyo Stock Exchange Ends up 1.72%
The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended in the green on Wednesday, catching up with the previous day’s rally as the Japanese market was closed while benefiting from the advance of US futures amid uncertainties about the outcome of the the presidential election in the United States.
The Nikkei index gained 1.72% to 23,695.23 points and the larger Topix gained 1.26% to 1,628.20 points.
The Nikkei Stock Average (225 types) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on the 4th after the holidays continued to grow.
After the US presidential election, buy orders preceded due to expectations that additional economic measures would be implemented for the economic recovery that was hit by the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
The closing price is 23,695.23 yen, which is 399.75 yen higher than the two days before the holiday. The Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) is 1627.25, up 19.30 points. The trading volume was about 1,332,330,000 shares.
