Volkswagen will Present The Facelift of the Vento GLI there on April 25 Only for Brazil

The brand announced through its social networks the date of presentation of the sports version of the Vento/Jetta. With minimal aesthetic changes, it incorporates more technology and driving assistance. It maintains the 230 hp 2.0 TSI gasoline engine.

The offer of C-segment sedans has been considerably reduced in recent years, after the withdrawal of the Ford Focus, Renault Fluence, Peugeot 408, Citroën C4 Lounge and Honda Civic (of which the last units remain in stock), only the Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla -which account for most of the sales-, while in the background are the Nissan Sentra, Kia Cerato and Volkswagen Vento. The latter, although it appears on the official website of the German brand, the units arrive almost by dropper, which makes the current generation little seen. The same happens in Brazil, although in the neighboring country, with fewer restrictions on imports, the GLI version has its presence assured.

Through its social networks, Volkswagen announced that the Jetta (Vento) GLI will be presented in Brazil next Monday, April 25, being the only version of the sedan that will be available there. It is worth remembering that the midsize facelift was unveiled at the end of last year in the United States with minimal cosmetic changes but with more equipment. In the front sector, the LED daytime running lights are maintained with a C-shaped light signature and projectors -also Led-, with the classic red ribbon on the grill. Where a rethinking is appreciated is in the bumper, with a larger central air intake and two more at the ends, with a new design and that act as channels towards the wheels, the latter with a red appliqué. In profile, the only novelty that can be seen is the design of the alloy wheels, while in the rear part it debuts a new bumper, with a larger simile diffuser and double exhaust outlet, one at each end.

Inside doors there are not many differences in sight either, but it incorporates more technology: it maintains the Active Info Display digital instrument that can be configured by the driver and, in the case of Brazil, it will receive the VW Play multimedia system with a 10-inch touch screen, in order to unify this equipment with other brand products such as Nivus, T-Cross, Polo, Virtus and Taos. It stands out for its connectivity functions and the possibility of creating several user profiles. Special mention for the most important novelty: it will add a package of driving assistance, with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot and rear cross traffic alert, frontal collision alert and lane keeping assistant.
