Transparency is vital as we deliver vaccines across the UK. For now, these figures are provisional. From next week, we will begin to publish weekly figures on the number of vaccines administered.

The United Kingdom approved the emergency use authorization of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine two weeks ago and began to administer the vaccine on the 8th, making the country the first country to administer the new crown vaccine besides clinical trials.
Zahavi tweeted: “The vaccine delivery program has a good start. The results of the seven days are as follows: England: 108,000, Wales: 7,897, Northern Ireland: 4,000, Scotland: 18,000. . The United Kingdom: 137,897 people.”
“These numbers will continue to increase because we have hundreds of primary care network facilities (PCN) in operation.”
Pfizer’s vaccine requires two doses with an interval of 21 days. Therefore, the British people who have received the first dose have not yet been fully protected.
The first batch of Pfizer vaccines received in the UK totaled 800,000 doses. The British government ordered 40 million doses from Pfizer. Health Secretary Matt Hancock has stated that it is expected to receive millions of doses before the end of the year.
