The American company Tesla, owned by tycoon Elon Musk, will build a factory in the city of Monterrey (north), announced the president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, this Tuesday, 28.

Musk “was very respectful and considerate and understood the importance of tackling the problem of water scarcity (…) with the use of reused water, water treatment even for painting cars”, he commented.

Obrador revealed that he had already spoken with Musk last Friday, when he publicly suggested the possibility of the factory being installed in another region of the country with greater availability of the resource.

For now, “the question of batteries is pending”, but “I am satisfied with what has been achieved”, said Obrador, announcing that the car factory “is going to be very big”.
