Adobe Announces Photoshop Camera for Smartphones

Adobe has announced Adobe Photoshop Camera, a new application for mobile devices, developed for all those who like to capture photos by applying filters and effects to beautify the moment they want to capture, trying somehow to be professional photographers.

The idea behind Adobe Photoshop Camera is to bring Photoshop – the most popular photo editing software – into the smartphone and tablet camera.

Photoshop Camera works a lot like the in-app cameras of apps like Snapchat, which offer effects and filters for photos only which is standalone. The Adobe app boasts advanced filters and effects based on the company’s experience in the imaging industry and is powered by artificial intelligence. For example, the app allows you to make quick corrections such as illuminating portraits and removing image distortion.

“Browse many lenses and effects worthy of Instagram to be applied before or after the shot” reads the app. “It’s really easy to switch between them and replace them, so you have nothing to worry about if you change your mind. And you can keep your favorites for multiple use.”

Photos taken with Photoshop Camera can be shared on social networks directly from the app or saved locally to keep them in your gallery.

For the moment the app has been announced, Photoshop Camera will be publicly available at some point in 2020. With this announcement, Adobe has opened the registrations to try the app in preview and receive feedback on new effects and filters to create: those interested can subscribe from the official website adobe.com
