Honda Drastically Increased its Sales Volume with a Huge Discount

Honda Korea sold 665 large SUV pilots in October and ranked 7th in the sales ranking of imported cars.

Honda, who had bowed to boycott, drastically increased its sales volume with a huge discount. The discount is said to have dampened the Japanese boycott.

The Korea Import Automobile Association announced on October 5 that the number of new imported cars registered in October was 22,101, an increase of 6.2% from last year.

By October this year, the cumulative number was 18,9494 units, down 13.2% from 21,7868 last year.

By brand, Mercedes-Benz ranked first in the 8025s. The second was BMW (4122) and the third was Audi (2210). Jeep (1361), Volvo (940) and Mini (852) followed.

Honda ranked seventh in the total import car ranking with 806. This is a significant increase compared to August’s 138 and September’s 166, and it’s also noticeable compared to Lexus’s 456, Toyota’s 408 and Infiniti’s 168.

Honda’s secret lies in its 30% discount. Honda Korea sold SUV pilots, which sold for 55.9 million won, at a discount of 15 million won for a limited number of 500 vehicles.
