Elon Musk’s Company Launches New Internet Satellites and Reaches Speed of 100 Mb / s

SpaceX, space transport company of billionaire Elon Musk, carried out last Thursday (3) a new launch of internet satellites. It is the 12th batch of the Starlink network, which will offer connection from space.

There were 60 satellites sent from a Falcon 9 rocket, which took off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

With this launch, the Starlink network now has 700 satellites in low orbit, between 540 km and 570 km from Earth. The idea is to bring internet to remote regions.

SpaceX senior engineer Kate Tice said Starlink’s speed tests reached speeds in excess of 100 Mb / s (megabits per second), “fast enough to stream multiple HD movies at once”.
