Here Is the Suzuki Across PHEV Car, Toyota RAV4 Rebadge Result

If Toyota merges the Suzuki Ertiga, Suzuki Baleno, and Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the Suzuki merges the Toyota RAV4. Rebadge versions of each Japanese manufacturer were sold in India for Toyota and Europe for Suzuki.

As is known, Toyota and Suzuki did work together to share the car platform and technology. The Toyota RAV4 rebadge version, namely the Suzuki Across is ready to glide in Europe.

The plug-in hybrid crossover will be officially released this fall, which starts in September 2020.

As Toyota did when driving a Suzuki car, the Suzuki Across change was not too significant overall. The front only looks different.

Suzuki Across uses a new LED headlight combined with a large front grille and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. While the mechanical heart is the same as RAV4 PHEV.

Across means using a combination of a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine powered by 173 hp and two electric motors and a battery capacity of 18.1 kWh. The electric motor produces 54 hp power.

Suzuki still hasn’t conveyed how much power is combined from the gasoline engine and electric motor. When referring to RAV4, the combined power is 302 hp. Across uses the all wheel drive system alias AWD.

Suzuki claims that Across can reach a distance of 75 kilometers on the use of an electric motor only. While CO2 emissions are called only 22 g / km in the WLTP test cycle.

Suzuki Across is also equipped with Trail mode which allows the best grip and control on slippery surfaces.

In addition to the matter of the engine, the interior of the Suzuki Across is also called the same as the Toyota RAV4. The only difference between the two cars is the steering wheel with the Suzuki emblem.

Meanwhile, the list of active safety features is quite complete. There is a Pre-Collision System, Lane Tracing Assist to Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Rear Crossing Traffic Alert.
