How Create more Space on Your iPhone
By deleting unnecessary apps, pictures and files you can easily create more space in your iPhone. And if you don’t want to delete something, there are other tricks too.
Is there anything worse than when the cell phone is running out of space? The answer to that question is no.
And if you don’t feel like solving the problem by buying more memory or spending five-figure sums on a new iPhone, you don’t have to worry!
Namely, there are solutions, agile ones, to free up extra space. It’s about deleting apps or at least data from them.
All you have to do is follow a number of steps.
Find out how much space you have
First and foremost, you need to find out how much space is left on the phone. And you do this:
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap General and then iPhone storage
Below the graph you should see all your apps, listed in order from largest to smallest. But it’s not just the size of the app you see, but also how much data it captures as well.
The correlation between the size of the app and the amount of data it receives varies from app to app. For example, the Music app can be very small, but if you have many songs on it it will take up many gigabytes of space anyway.
To check this, simply click on the apps under the iPhone Storage tab. There you can also choose whether you want to permanently delete the app and all its data or if you just want to temporarily relieve the app from your iPhone.
“Reload app” removes the app from your phone but leaves all data. If you reinstall it later, the data will still be there and you can use it as before.
This is a good option if you plan to use the app later, and the app itself is very large, but its data doesn’t take up as much space.
“Delete app” deletes the app and all its data. This is a good choice if the app’s data is much larger than the app itself, which makes it pretty pointless to just delete the app.
Large apps that you no longer use are by far the biggest storage thieves on your iPhone, and deleting them is the easiest way to free up space on your iPhone.
If you have really bad space, it might be worth removing old messages, optimizing your photos and deleting music from your phone as well.
Three common storage arches:
Image and video apps – Apps that store photos and videos, such as Instagram, tend to devour a lot of space. Make sure to clean regularly.
Pod Gadgets – This type of app is usually small in size, but saves a lot of data. Here it may be an idea to relieve the app regularly.
Spotify – Like podcasts, music apps like Spotify have the ability to look small in size, but store a wealth of data. Here, too, it can be good to relieve the occasional strain.
