The company detailed its strategic bets so that organizations promote their innovation and accelerate their transformation and growth.
This week, the IBM subsidiary in Argentina turned 100 and the company celebrated it with the intention of contributing to the country’s development into the next century. In this sense, they presented five strategic bets for organizations to promote their innovation and accelerate their transformation and growth, with the support of technology.
The headquarters in our country was one of the first in the world, opening just 12 years after the start of the company. “I am convinced that these 100 years of IBM would not be the same if we were not a hotbed that trains, educates and makes talent grow with a very strong teamwork culture,” reflected Roberto Alexander, General Manager of IBM Argentina, during the celebration.
“We have the enormous privilege of celebrating 100 years in Argentina, and that is only possible thanks to our collaborators, our clients and the ecosystem with which we work every day,” said Alexander, detailing: “Today, hundreds of government entities and Companies in all industries trust IBM as their strategic partner. When we look closely at which IBM technologies are most used by companies in Argentina, AI, automation, security, storage solutions, infrastructure and hybrid cloud. At the same time, our clients value our consulting and industry expertise.”
In view of its anniversary, IBM Argentina proposed leaving five councils for development through technology in the next 100 years. “We want to continue accompanying companies in their digital transformation and the next innovations that arise,” said Alexander.
In addition, Salvador Álvarez Patuel, General Manager of IBM Consulting in Argentina, commented that they will seek to “continue expanding the horizons of solutions provided by artificial intelligence to accelerate the transformation of Argentine companies and betting on the development of national talent to provide cutting-edge solutions for Argentina and the world”.
Extensive use of Artificial Intelligence with purpose
Implement intelligent, secure and AI-based workflows. Today, 50% of the CEOs of Latin American countries, including Argentina, say that this technology will be key to helping them deliver business results in the next three years. And as Generative AI captures the world’s attention – from supply chains and IT operations, to customer service and human resources – it is important that companies make it a priority integrated into the strategic core of their business and not a “complement”, with an implementation under ethical parameters that allow it to be promoted responsibly.
Create resilient companies
Simplify, digitize and partner with the ecosystem. Leaders are under intense pressure to drive efficiencies while navigating geopolitical changes, economic changes, and increased cybersecurity attacks, among others. In these challenging times, it is necessary to take advantage of innovative approaches and good technologies to streamline processes and strengthen security. In this way, you will be able to promote your own talent towards activities with more impact and you will identify the best partners in the ecosystem to share resources, innovation and experience.
Sustainability as a business imperative
Avoid making false decisions between sustainability and profit, a good business strategy includes both. The application of AI and the extensive use of data will help to make better informed decisions to achieve sustainability goals that boost productivity. Technology modernization processes include a hybrid cloud approach that offers greater flexibility to innovate and grow, as well as greater efficiency, both for business and environmental impact.
Hyperfocus on the customer experience
Invest in the software supply chain and also in the physical supply chain. Today, 67% of products are digital or have a digital component. That means that what used to be the design, manufacture and service of physical products will have to be transformed. There is now a parallel software supply chain that leaders must manage. You need to have a product engineering mindset and blend product, technology, and functional skills with a hyper-focus on positive user and customer experience.
Adapt to the changing workforce
90% of C-suite executives surveyed by IBM say their organization is affected by skills and talent shortages. Business leaders must boost employee training and change hiring practices to focus on skills, with a truly diverse and inclusive approach. It is about adapting to meet the expectations of new employees in terms of company values, their commitment, responsibility, transparency and work-life balance.
