Iraqi Citizens Bought the Highest Number of Properties in Turkey
According to Turkey Statistics Institute (TSI), housing sales statistics for the month of August in Turkey 105 thousand 154 home sold. The number of home sold in August decreased by 15.1 percent compared to the previous month and by 12.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of houses sold to foreigners was 3 thousand 866.
According to TUIK data, Iraqi citizens in August bought 944 houses from Turkey. In this month, 394 Iranian citizens, 275 citizens of Saudi Arabia, 271 citizens of Kuwait, and 192 citizens of Russia also bough property from Turkey.
3 thousand 866 houses were sold to foreigners in 2018
Housing sales to foreigners increased by 129.6 percent in August compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 3,866. Istanbul was the first city in this area to sell 141 units, it was followed by Antalya with 675 sales, Bursa with 307 sales, Ankara with 305 sales and Yalova with 263 sales.
Most foreign nationals
When the last three years, most residential areas of the data at the beginning of foreigners from Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait nationals fallowing. Iraqis bought a total of 9 thousand 251 housing from Turkey last three years. The Iraqis followed the Saudis with 5 thousand 103 houses. Kuwait has gained 4 thousand 386 citizens in regard to Turkey in the last three years.
Mortgage house sales
In this period, mortgage sales decreased by 67.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased to 12 thousand 743. The share of mortgage sales in total house sales was 12.1 percent. In mortgaged sales, Istanbul ranked first with 2 thousand 82 housing units and 16.3% share. In total housing sales, the highest share of mortgaged sales was in Artvin with 21.3 percent.
Other home sales increased by 13.5 percent year-on-year in August to 92 thousand 411. In this category, Istanbul ranked first with 13 thousand and 180 sales and 14.3% share. The share of other sales in total home sales in Istanbul was 86.4 percent. Ankara was the second with 7,887 other houses, followed by İzmir with 4 thousand 231 houses. The province with the lowest housing sales was found in Hakkari with 13 houses.
In the housing sales, Istanbul ranked first with 15 thousand 262 houses (14.5 percent). Istanbul was followed by İzmir with 9 thousand 291 houses sales (8.8 percent) and İzmir (4.8 percent) with 5 thousand 64 houses sales. The provinces with the least sales were Hakkari with 14 houses, Ardahan with 23 houses and Bayburt with 59 houses.
Housing sales statistics August 2017 data were announced by TURKSTAT. The most striking detail in the data disclosed is that , most of the sales were made to Iraqi citizens. Iraqi citizens in August bought 317 from Turkey. Iraq was followed by Saudi Arabia with 198 houses, Kuwait with 135 residences, Afghanistan with 95 houses.
Again in the same period in August 2016 the Iraqi citizens, had bought 267 from Turkey according to Turkstat.
