JAC Group Launched the Yiwei 3 Electric Vehicle in China

After it was announced last April, the JAC group launched the Yiwei 3 electric vehicle in China this week. The vehicle will arrive in no less than six different models with the price range ranging from 89,000 to 127,900 yuan, which is 44,800 to 64,400 shekels. The JAC group is represented in Israel by EV Motors.

The vehicle’s target audience is young men and women between the ages of 25-35 and the company designed the vehicle accordingly. Inside is a 6.2-inch operational screen along with another 12.8- or 15.6-inch multimedia screen (depending on the model) and an eye-catching colorful design. The vehicle will be available in China in beige, white, gray, green and purple colors. The Yiwei 3 will offer the option of automatic parking and driving.

JAC Group vehicles also come to Europe and are not intended for the Chinese market only. In 2013 JAC Group was among the ten largest manufacturers in China. In 2016 the group signed a production agreement with DR Automobiles to export its vehicles to Italy. In 2017, the group established a joint venture with the Volkswagen Group to manufacture vehicles for the Chinese market under the Seat brand, which eventually came to fruition but not under the Seat name.

It seems that the JAC group is strong in the Chinese market but is squinting towards the European market, which means the possibility of the future arrival of certain models in Israel by the Israeli representative EV Motors.
