Kia Karens 2022 Officially Unveiled in India

The new generation of Kia Carens goes from a compact 7-seater minivan configuration to a 7-seater Jeep configuration, with a seductive design and quality cabin, but will be marketed in the first phase in the Indian market with extremely modest safety specifications.

The main innovation in the new Karnes concerns the abandonment of the traditional minivan design and the transition in accordance with market requirements for a sleek and handsome-looking vehicle in the style of a compact recreational vehicle in a 7-seater configuration. When it comes to design, the model aligns with Kia‘s current design language, with a modern and sophisticated look, peripheral LED lighting, 16 “light wheel rims, an option for two-tone body painting, a panoramic glass roof and a tough look with more aggressive Gippon-style bumpers.

Also inside the cabin, the vehicle offers a completely new design that characterizes the new generation of Kia’s passenger cars, with a mirror in the style of premium models, a watch dial integrated with a digital monitor and a 10.25 “central multimedia screen. Advanced digital that includes touch buttons built into the dashboard and a clean air management system in the vehicle that knows how to filter air pollution and even some bacteria, and extensive connectivity including a built-in SIM and an option for air system updates (OTA). And without the option of advanced safety systems, however for the Indian market, this is a very well equipped version in the safety section with 6 airbags as standard, stability control, parking sensors and tire pressure sensors…

Kia does not currently reveal technical details about the vehicle, and in any case the first version presented is intended for the Indian market only and it will be interesting to see if it reaches the European market and us later as well.
