3 units destined for a Belgian dealer celebrate the first victory of the English team in Formula 1, in 1968

McLaren Sepecial Operation pays tribute to the first victory in a Grand Prix of the brand 50 years ago, with the founder of the English House behind the wheel. Bruce McLaren aboard the McLaren M7A in the classic Papaya Orange livery, conquered the first victory in Formula 1, for his novice team, in the 1968 Grand Prix of Belgium at Spa- Francochamps. Half a century later, the trio of McLaren 720S Spa 68 Collection – required by the special Woking custom department from a Belgian dealer – pays tribute to the results achieved with a livery taken care of in every detail.

Each of the three McLaren 720S Spa 68 Collection sports the MSO Bespoke Anniversary orange body color, created to reflect the color of the 1968 racing car. The profile of the famous victory track – the first of many reported by McLaren – is reproduced on the in front of the rear wheel, in silver color, and embroidered in Orange color on the headrest.

Other optional details equip this limited series and are: “sill covers” lengthened with the inscription “1st McLaren F1 victory Belgian Grand Prix 9th June 1968 – Bruce McLaren” and the personalized ignition key MSO Defined that recalls the victory with the color Anniversay Orange and with the inscription in silver “Spa 68”. Each of the three cars also carries a personalized nameplate with the vehicle number.

The five-spoke alloy wheels in Satin Black from the MSO Bespoke range enhance the orange color of the body, while the interior features contrast stitching made of McLaren Orange yarn.
