Ipsos survey brings a ranking of celebrities with the greatest power of influence on social networks; see list.

A report by the research firm Ipsos sought to analyze who are the celebrities with the greatest influence in the new digital age and, consequently, the most coveted by brands that want to have a presence on the internet.

To reach the verdict, Ipsos evaluated 200 national celebrities and conducted 2,000 online interviews between May 2nd and 10th, 2022. The research considered the ability of these celebrities to influence the public about a product, service or brand, changing their perception of quality, opinion and trust from what is posted on social networks.

In addition, artists with the ability to motivate the purchase of new items or the hiring of new services based on what is said by them on the internet are also considered influential.

Who is the most influential celebrity on the internet?
According to an Ipsos survey, Brazilian top model Gisele Bündchen is the most influential celebrity on the internet today.

The poster girl for brands such as Pantene, Sky and C6 Bank has more than 20 million followers on social media and is often associated with the themes of fashion, apparel and health and wellness. Among the characteristics of Gisele most admired by the public are modernity, beauty and the defense of social and environmental causes.

In addition to Bündchen, four other women occupy the first places in the list of most influential celebrities of 2022. In second place is the singer Iza and, in the sequence, is Nathalia Arcuri, from the channel “Me Poupe!”. See full list:

“Just like last year, in 2022 the female presence prevailed. The fact that the top eight positions in the ranking are occupied by women highlights their growing role in the media, whether traditional or digital”, says Mariana Andrade, senior manager of Creative Excellence at Ipsos in Brazil.

Most Recognized Celebrities
The survey also revealed which are the most remembered celebrities in 2022. And, despite not being among the most influential names, the singer Anitta leads the spontaneous mentions and is the most recognized Brazilian by the public. Next are Neymar, Xuxa, Silvio Santos and Luciano Huck.

When placed in contact with images and names, the interviewees mentioned other artists for the composition of the list of the five best-known women. They are: Juliana Paes, Grazi Massafera, Xuxa, Claudia Raia and Sabrina Sato. Among the men are Lazaro Ramos, Caua Reymond, Bruno Gagliasso, Marcos Mion and Pedro Bial.
