Mercedes-Benz will Present A new Crossover in September
As reported by Insideevs, the public premiere of the first fully electric crossover brand will be held on September 4 at a conference in Stockholm, Sweden. As for the European premiere of the electric cross, it is supposedly held a month later at the Paris Motor Show, but for the American market, another auto show was chosen – in Los Angeles.
At the moment there are no official characteristics regarding the serial version of the electric crossover, but the concept car received two engines with a total return of 408 horsepower, which is enough to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in less than five seconds. In the basic modification, the cross is supposed to be able to overcome at least 500 km of NEDC cycle or about 400 kilometers along the EPA cycle on one charge, however, other versions with enhanced batteries will probably be offered in the future.
A new cross is being built on the basis of the MEA (Modular Electric Architecture) platform, which will form the basis of future electric models of the brand.
It is worth noting that in April, at the Geneva Motor Show, its first electric cross, also presented as a concept, was presented by Audi. It was stated that it has a power reserve of 400 kilometers along the WLTP cycle, but the company did not disclose other characteristics.
