Tesla founder Elon Musk successfully persuaded Twitter directors to accept a privatization plan within 11 days. Value, privatized social platforms. Former richest man and Amazon  founder Jeff Bezos posted on Twitter, questioning whether the Chinese government will increase its influence on Twitter after Musk completes the acquisition.

Musk has repeatedly questioned Twitter’s management of the content of posts, suspended controversial accounts, and described himself as a “free speech absolutist” before announcing the annexation of Twitter. After successfully persuading the board, he pointed out that Twitter is a digital town square where users discuss issues vital to the future of humanity, promising to open source algorithms to increase trust.

Bezos believes Twitter won’t increase censorship, but Tesla’s China operations will be more complicated.

Bezos posted within hours of Musk’s success in persuading Twitter’s board of directors to sell, citing another user who pointed out that China is Tesla’s second largest market, Chinese battery companies are Tesla’s main suppliers, and in 2009, the Chinese government banned mainland netizens from Browse Twitter.

Bezos said it would be interesting to see whether China would increase its presence in Twitter, the town square, because of Musk’s presidency.

He tweeted less than two hours later, “My answer is probably no.” Twitter would not increase scrutiny because of the deal, but believed the deal would complicate Tesla’s development in China.
