Nissan Plans to Open Factories in the US Starting June 1

Nissan 7201.T said Wednesday it plans to resume production operations in the United States on June 1 after being forced to close its factories to comply with measures to curb the coronavirus epidemic.

The Canton, Mississippi, and Decherd, Tennessee plants are expected to resume production on June 1. A week later will follow that of Smyrna, Tennessee.

Most American car factories have reopened, but with reduced activity, after being forced to stop production in March due to the health crisis.
