Walmart recently released an all-new supply of PlayStation 5 consoles ahead of the holidays, but the entire offer was quickly made available.

A recently refurbished Sony PlayStation 5 at Walmart, which launched ahead of the holiday season, quickly sold out within an hour of going on sale. The new generation console from Sony was released in November 2020, but so far it is very difficult for gamers to get their hands on the respectable gaming system. While those interested continue to struggle to get hold of next-generation hardware, Sony recently announced custom PS5 skins and DualSense colors that will arrive in early 2022.

Upon its launch back in November 2020 alongside its Xbox Series X/S rival, the PlayStation 5 received a great deal of praise for its performance and immersive qualities. Modern game consoles have a hard drive for high-speed loading, a GPU that can achieve 4K resolution up to 120 frames per second, and the ability to use ray tracing technology. An advanced ray tracing lighting system allows developers to produce incredibly realistic lighting effects and reflections throughout their digital worlds. Since the release of PS5, many gamers have also sought to customize the console with replacement shield panels, and Sony will grant that wish in 2022. A custom PS5 Scuf Reflex console was also recently announced, with the high-performance console built specifically for the latest Sony hardware.

As reported by the Twitter account PS5 Restock News, a recent restock at Walmart has allowed some lucky customers to get their hands on Sony’s elusive console. However, within an hour of starting the restocking sale online, the show was all sold out. Several Twitter users responded to the PS5 Restock News post claiming that the online retailer listed the console as sold out, while other users were still buying the system. Within an hour, the PlayStation 5 was again listed as unavailable at Walmart, leaving many unhappy gamers without the system ahead of the holiday season.
