Queen Elizabeth II has been seen masked for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.The 94-year-old ruler wore a black mask to match her outfit when she visited Westminster Abbey last week. She was there to commemorate the centenary of the burial on November 11, 1920 of the Unknown Soldier, who died during the First World War.

The monarch placed there a bouquet of flowers composed of orchids and myrtle, referring to the one she portrayed during her marriage to Prince Philip in 1947.

Due to the second wave of coronavirus, celebrations to honor Britons killed in action will be reduced this year.
