İngiltere’de parlemento seçimlerinin ardından peşpeşe istifalar geldi. İlk istifa seçimlerden yenilgiyle çıkan İşçi Partisi’nin lideri Ed Miliband’dan geldi.
Miliband’ın yanı sıra, UKIP lideri Nigel Farage ve Liberal Demokratlar’ın lideri Nick Clegg de istifa ettiğini duyurdu.
Miliband, sonuçların belli olmasının ardından “Bizim için oldukça moral bozucu ve zor bir geceydi” dedi..Miliband, partisinin yenilgisinin sorumluluğunun, tamamen kendisine ait olduğunu söyledi. Miliband’ın istifasının ardından Yvette Cooper, Andy Burnham ve Chukka Umunna arasında liderlik yarışının başlayacağı söyleniyor.
