The Saudi Telecom Company (STC), thanks to its innovative digital techniques, manages to ensure quality coverage in the large square of King Abdulaziz in Mecca. The group has in fact deployed one of the largest internal hedging solutions (IBS) provided in a single location in the world. The STC group has thus equipped King Abdulaziz Square in Mecca with seven communication towers covering an area of 1.5 million square meters, in addition to providing more than 18,600 antennas, more than 800 small picocel cells to cover frequencies close to , strengthening the internal coverage of mobile phones. The group also installed 92 broadcast stations with 4 LET network operators in the Holy Mosque of Makkah using advanced digital technologies and quality communication service with the aim of extending network coverage to buildings in the region. and ensure high network performance.

STC has also deployed the first distributed digital antenna system with “CDD” technology in the Middle East, in preparation for the deployment of 5G network service in the coming months.
