Tesla Cancels New Top Model
Tesla has canceled its most expensive variant of the new Plaid model – Model S Plaid +.
It emerges from a series of Twitter messages from Tesla top Elon Musk.
Earlier, Musk’s fanscare promised a supercar with three engines, 1,100 horsepower, close to 840 kilometers range and acceleration from 0-100 km / h in less than two seconds.
According to Tesla’s website, the base model Long Range of Model S costs NOK 829,990. Model S Plaid costs 1.2 million and Plaid + costs 1.5 million.
According to the Norwegian website, the top model can be ordered from 2022, but whether the page has not been updated according to Musk’s statement is uncertain.
The still-available Plaid model has a range of 630 kilometers and accelerates from 0-100 in 2.1 seconds – not far behind its notch sharper big brother.
The launch date was initially set for June 3, but has been postponed one week to June 10 as the car needed another week of adjustments, according to another Twitter message from the Tesla boss.
Model S Plaid delivery pushed to June 10. Needs one more week of tweak.
This car feels like a spaceship. Words cannot describe the limbic resonance.

Tesla, like all other car manufacturers, struggles with too little semiconductor production, which is an essential part of modern cars.
– It is the most difficult thing we have experienced in Tesla’s existence. Major problems with the entire supply chain of parts. We’re obviously upset about the semiconductor shortage. That is a huge problem, he said at the time.
