The Dow Jones Industrial Average Increased

The US stock market indices recorded a rise at the close of trading sessions on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 236.60 points, or 0.68%, to 35,135.94 points, and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose 60.65 points, or 1.32%, to 4,655.27. point.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 291.17 points, or 1.88%, to 15,782.83 points

It is noteworthy that the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is located in New York City on Wall Street and is the largest stock exchange in the United States of America in terms of its transactions (in dollars and the second largest stock exchange in terms of the number of listed companies). The Nasdaq market passed it in 1990, but the market value of the listed companies, or what is known as the market capitalization, is five times greater than the companies listed on the Nasdaq market.
