The IBM Pop-Up Presents Today’s IBM and Thus Makes Berlin the Technology
IBM makes Berlin the place-to-be of the technology scene: The leading tech company invites you to the IBM pop-up live and on site. This year’s themes are more relevant than ever for companies facing a complex set of challenges: supply chain disruptions, extreme weather events, labor shortages and many more. With the hybrid cloud, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, new developments in the field of security and with in-depth know-how of business processes, IBM supports companies in finding intelligent solutions that make our world better and are future-proof at the same time.
From May 26th to June 3rd, IBM will be showing how these new technologies and consulting approaches are already being used successfully in the IBM pop-up in Berlin. There, customers, media representatives and tech enthusiasts can visit the IBM pop-up on Mercedes Platz or talk directly to experts and developers at one of the numerous events at various locations in the capital.
Highlights of the IBM pop-up and the numerous events
During its stop in Berlin, the tech giant IBM will present innovative use cases in the IBM pop-up and allow a deeper insight into its own technologies and consulting offers: Interactive showcases and workshops enable visitors to develop a deeper understanding of the products and to understand how they can also be used successfully in your own company. In addition, they benefit from exciting lectures and from joint dialogue with IBM experts and other visitors. The IBM Garage is also present in the IBM pop-up and offers design thinking workshops in which participants get to know the unique working methods of the team.
On the Mercedes square, accessible to everyone, IBM will be showing not only many pure business solutions but also hands-on technology of the future: SPOT the robot dog walks in the IBM pop-up. The RoboDog uses artificial intelligence, cloud, Edge and 5G to relieve employees in industrial production, in warehouses or in the energy industry, for example. The AI-supported electronic tongue HyperTaste will also be presented. With it, industrial and scientific users can quickly and mobile determine the quality and composition of liquids. The electronic tongue is currently being used on the Mayflower Autonomous Ship 400 (MAS400). On its voyage across the Atlantic, the unmanned research vessel collects information on microplastic concentration and studies sea level and wave heights to explore the potential for energy production.
And for experts, the IBM pop-up on May 30th and 31st is all about security. Under the motto “SOC: Theory-Practice-Discussion”, IBM experts provide information about current threats, whether ransomware or insider threats. The IBM experts provide insights into their work and, in addition to the X-Force Report, also present the IBM laboratory in Rüschlikon. On the next two days from June 1st to 2nd, the focus at the TEC Technology Summit 2022 will be on practical examples from the areas of digital transformation, hybrid cloud & AI platform, business automation, security & trust, sustainability and quantum computing. On a seminar ship directly at Mercedes Platz, interested parties can discuss the topic of “shaping the future with technology” with top-class speakers, experts and their peers.
The IBM Storage Strategy Days 2022 will also take place at the same time. In the UCI Luxe Cinema at Mercedes Platz, participants will experience exciting presentations on the main topics of strategy, portfolio updates, the IBM FlashSystem and IBM Spectrum Virtualize. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to discuss with international IBM experts. On June 1st, the IBM pop-up also says “Automation in transition: Simple, fast & more intelligent with AI”. Here visitors can find out how they can best use the added value of artificial intelligence for their company. Using practical examples, it will be shown how AI can help to ensure the performance of applications, reduce IT expenditure and increase employee satisfaction.
Another highlight of the week is the “Think on Tour”. On May 30th and 31st, the exclusive event will discuss the latest technologies. Participants can look forward to meeting company founder, investor, TV personality and bestselling author Frank Thelen, among others. In his keynote speech, the prominent tech fan talks about responsibility, challenges and new paths that companies have to take today. In addition, exciting projects such as SPOT, CIMON and the recently launched IBM z16 platform will be presented.
The program will be rounded off on site with the IBM lifter. At a height of almost 70 meters, it enables a literal change of perspective. Breakout sessions, meetings and elevator pitches can be held with a new perspective – and at the same time participants experience a unique view over the capital.
