The Next Audi R8…

The next Audi R8 is not expected to be launched until 2023 at the earliest and could rely on a hybrid solution with a V mid-engine in the future. Details on the equipment and price of the super sports car successor are still a long way off.

In addition to the still nameless successor to the TT, another sporty Ingolstadt is in the making – the successor to the Audi R8 (2023). The final decision is still open, but it should result in a hybrid solution with a V-mid-engine and even more power than today. As a reminder: the current 5.2-liter V10 covers a range from 540 to 620 hp. In the future, the developers will have to work with two or even four fewer cylinders for fuel consumption reasons, but they will have at least one additional high-torque electric motor at their disposal. The fact that the Lamborghini Huracan planned for 2024 also needs a real power drive speaks in favor of this solution. It will be a while before the Ingolstadt-based company publishes more details about the engines and initial information on the price and equipment of the Audi R8: the successor to the super sports car is not expected before 2023. More on the topic: This is the Audi R8 Facelift (2019).
