Guilfoyle, 51, was immediately isolated after discovering she had the virus, in a routine test carried out on anyone who may be in close contact with the president, reveals The New York Times.

In a statement to the newspaper, Sergio Gor, chief of staff of the Trump campaign’s Finance committee, revealed that Kimberly is doing well and that “she will be tested again to make sure the diagnosis is correct as she is asymptomatic”.

“As a precaution, he will cancel all events. Donald Trump Jr. has been tested negative, but as a precaution he will also go into self-isolation and is canceling all public events.”

Guilfoyle is the third person close to the US president to test positive for covid-19. The others infected are Trump’s personal chamberlain and the press secretary to the U.S. vice president.
