Procter & Gamble Pays Dividend

The consumer goods group Procter & Gamble (ISIN: US7427181091, NYSE: PG) paid a quarterly dividend of $0.8698 to its investors this Tuesday.

The group is thus paying out 3.4792 US dollars for the full year. At the current stock price of $156.74, this equates to a current dividend yield of 2.22 percent (as of February 14, 2022). The company, which is listed in the Dow Jones Index, has been increasing its payout uninterruptedly for 65 years. Shareholders have been receiving a dividend since 1890. The Dividend Aristocrat has not interrupted the dividend payment in any year.

The company was founded in 1837. The products include Ariel, Braun, Gillette, Pampers and Oral-B. For the second quarter ended December 31, fiscal 2022, revenue was $20.95 billion (prior year: $19.75 billion) as reported on January 19, 2022. The bottom line was a profit of 4.24 billion US dollars (previous year: 3.89 billion US dollars).

Since the beginning of 2022, the stock is down 4.18 percent on Wall Street and the current market cap is $374.64 billion (as of February 14, 2022).
