Elon Musk has Found a Woman CEO for Twitter

Elon Musk announced Thursday that he had found someone to fill the post of CEO of Twitter — or “X Corp.” as it is now known. And it will be a woman.
He did not identify the woman, but said she would start in about six weeks.
Elon Musk had bought the Twitter platform last fall, which he has run since, but he assures that he is not the permanent CEO.
The billionaire, also owner of Tesla, in particular, wrote on Thursday on Twitter that his role would change to that of executive chairman and chief technology officer for the platform.
Musk has been saying for almost six months that he has been considering finding someone to run Twitter, which is based in San Francisco.
In mid-November, just weeks after buying the social media platform for US$44 billion, he told a Delaware court he didn’t want to be CEO of any company.
During his testimony, he said, “I expect to reduce my time on Twitter and eventually find someone else to take care of it.”
More than a month later, in December, he wrote on Twitter, “I will step down as CEO as soon as I find someone crazy enough to fill it.”
He made this commitment when millions of Twitter users had asked him to withdraw, in a poll on the platform that the billionaire himself had launched. Musk had promised to respect the results of this survey of users.
And in February, he told a conference that he planned to find someone to lead Twitter “probably towards the end of this year.”
Tesla shares rose about 2% on Thursday after Elon Musk‘s announcement. Shareholders of the electric car company are concerned about all the attention the Tesla founder has been giving to Twitter since his acquisition.
