Australian Home Minister Dutton Diagnosed with Coronavirus, Dutton was Last Week with the Daughter of Trump, Ivanka

It is reported that Australian Home Minister Peter Dutton announced on Friday (March 13) that he had been diagnosed with a coronavirus through a statement issued by the office. The number of confirmed and fatal cases in Australia is 156.

Dutton revealed that after getting up on Friday morning, he felt that his temperature was high and his throat was sore. He immediately contacted the Queensland Health Department and was tested for “New Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) 2019”. The Queensland Department of Health notified the test that it was positive.

The Guardian reporter Amy Remeikis tweeted that according to a photo of the tweet posted by the Australian Embassy in the United States, Dutton,was last week with the daughter of US President Donald Trump Ivanka  and US Attorney General William Barr had close contact.

Ivanka Trump worked from home on Friday but will not self-quarantine, despite coming into close contact with the Australian home affairs minister, Peter Dutton, who on Friday confirmed he had tested positive for coronavirus.

It is unclear when Dutton was infected with the virus and when he was contagious.

According to a tweet from Dutton, he attended the Five Eyes Alliance conference hosted by Washington last Thursday (March 5).

CNN reports that Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a state of emergency on Wednesday.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Friday that Dutton was attending a Morrison cabinet meeting in Sydney on Tuesday (March 10), including Australian Finance Minister Josh Frydenberg. The report stated that Dutton was the first Australian federal official to be diagnosed with a coronavirus.

The Castrol XQ Global Winner Quotation System shows that the Australian Index (All Ordinaries) rose 4.09% on Friday and closed at 5,590.70 points. The weekly plunge 11.08% and closed for the third consecutive week.

The Australian index fell as low as 4,940.10 points during the session on Friday, down 32.2% from its all-time high (7,289.70 points) set during the session on February 20.
