British Allow AstraZeneca Vaccine

The corona vaccine developed by the British manufacturer AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford has received approval in Great Britain. The British government followed the recommendation of the Medicines Agency (MHRA) to approve the vaccine, said a spokesman for the British Ministry of Health.

In studies, the agent had shown to be less effective than the already approved vaccine from Biontech and Pfizer, but it can be stored at refrigerator temperatures and is significantly cheaper. In Great Britain, the first vaccinations should take place on January 4th, as Health Minister Matt Hancock announced.

The first vaccine doses are supposed to be given to people at high risk.
