Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian Advise Instagram to Stop Copying TikTok

Actress sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian criticized Instagram on Monday, calling on the app to stop imitating rival TikTok.
Jenner and Kardashian posted a message to their hundreds of millions of Instagram followers that said, “Make Instagram Instagram again.”
“Strop is trying to tiktok, I just want to see cute photos of my friends,” the post read.
Mark Zuckerberg CEO Metamis, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is pushing into short videos, a market dominated by TikTok on mobile.
Jenner and Kardashian are both very influential on social media. In 2018, Jenner slapped Instagram competitor Snapchat’s makeover, which led to a 7 percent of the parent company.
Shares of Meta were relatively low in after-hours trading.
Instagram did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
