Russia Cuts Oil Production in Line with OPEC Agreement

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters in Moscow today that his country is cutting oil production in line with the global production agreement between OPEC and its allies.

The Russian Ministry of Energy declined to comment.

The post-Soviet record for the month was reached in October 2018, when the country produced 11.41 million barrels per day. This month was taken by the OPEC + pact participants as a base for production cuts in 2019.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday that Russia in April is reducing oil production in accordance with the OPEC + agreement.
