Salary in Russia in July Rose by 3.5%
The total gross wage in Russia in July 2019 decreased by 7.2%, and compared to July 2018, it increased by 3.5%. Such data are provided in the new report of the Federal State Statistics Service “On the socio-economic situation of Russia.”
For the period from January to July of the current year, real wages increased by 2.1% in annual terms.
According to the agency, the average monthly nominal wage in July amounted to 45,900 rubles, which is 8.2% higher than the same period last year. Since the beginning of 2019, real disposable cash incomes of the population have decreased by 1.3% in annual terms.
Over the past six months, 13% of working residents of Russia have faced salary delays. 86% paid wages on time. These are data from a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (POF).
At the same time, 72% of respondents did not increase wages (including indexation). 26% of employees received an increase over the past six months.
36% of respondents fear that in the near future their salary may decrease. 60% do not have such concerns.
A survey of Russian citizens over 18 years of age was conducted on August 4, 2019 in 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 104 settlements. Interviewed 1,500 respondents. Stat error does not exceed 3.6%.
