Scientists Determine an Unexpected Age for “Real”
Legally, puberty begins when you complete 18 years of age, the age at which adolescence ends, but it is often seen that many behaviors and behaviors remain “childish” even after they have passed this age, and many continue to act childish even in their 20s.
Brain and nerve scientists said the human mind was undergoing fundamental changes at the age of 18, according to the British newspaper Mill Online.
They explained that a man in his twenties is subjected to major mental disorders, as in the case of permanent doubt, and that this stage ends almost at the age of thirty years.
“A definition of transition from childhood to adulthood has become increasingly absurd,” Cambridge University professor Peter Jones told a news conference in London, stressing that it is only a transitional stage.
Systems such as the education system, the health system and the legal system “are trying to make things easier for themselves through definitions,” he said.
“People do not like to change from a cocoon to a butterfly,” Jones said, ahead of an international neuroscience meeting hosted by the Oxford Academy of Medical Sciences. “There is no childhood and no attainment.
Los Angeles University professor Daniel Gichwind, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles, confirmed the degree of individual variation in brain growth, saying that education systems mistakenly tended to focus on groups rather than individuals.
“These are bigger questions that go beyond science,” he said, adding that “there are individual paths … the process of evolution takes decades, but that varies from one individual to another.”
The international meeting is scheduled to discuss serious mental disorders, as schizophrenia and other mental states are known to arise from a complex interaction between genes and the environment.
But schizophrenia is usually diagnosed in older adolescents, and the risk of developing it declines significantly from the late 1920s, a pattern believed to be linked to brain development.
