The Fashion Industry Donated a Ton of Money for Coronavirus Relief and Pruduce “Mask”

Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has made a record donation to help tackle the pandemic crisis, which is now affecting the world. Stating that the money will go directly to outbreak workers and communities, the foundation’s donation amount is exactly $ 10 million.

The Armani Group has converted all its Italian production plants into the production of disposable gowns intended for the individual protection of health workers engaged in dealing with coronavirus. In recent weeks, following the initial donation allocated to the Civil Protection and the Luigi Sacco, San Raffaele, Milan Cancer Institute and Spallanzani in Rome hospitals, Giorgio Armani has decided to give his contribution also to the hospital of Bergamo, Piacenza and Versilia, thus reaching a total donation of 2 million euros.

Valentino

Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, through the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation, will donate € 1 million to support the fight against coronavirus. In particular, the donation will go to the Columbus Covid 2 hospital, a new area totally dedicated to the care of patients with Covid-19 inside the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome. Officially inaugurated on March 21, Columbus Covid 2 hospital will be fully operational starting next week. “In such a dramatic moment for the whole world, we wanted to make our contribution to win this crucial battle against an invisible but terrible enemy – explained the designer and his historic partner and partner -. Gucci has made two new donations for two specific crowdfunding campaigns: in Italy, where the company is based, in favor of the Department of Civil Protection in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo; and globally, in favor of the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund in support of the World Health Organization through Facebook’s matchmaking campaign.

How to participate
The GucciCommunity is invited to make a donation to the World Health Organization Fund through the “donate” function in the stories of the www.instagram.com/Gucci channel. Facebook will pay an amount equal to the total amount of donations, as part of the Matching initiative. Masks and gowns from Herno
Herno is also committed to its production capacity in favor of the health emergency: the company led by Claudio Marenzi, president of Confindustria Moda, will produce around 10,000 gowns per month and 25,000 masks, destined for the territory and in particular for the hospital of Verbania ( Lake Maggiore).
