Two unknown female assailants have opened fire at a riot police station in Istanbul’s Bayrampaşa district.

Initial reports indicate two women inside a commercial vehicle opened fire at the station and fled the scene after abandoning their car.

Police launched an operation in surrounding neighborhoods to apprehend the attackers, injuring one of the women in the ensuing clashes.
