U.S. Attorney General: Trump was Advised to hide in the Shelter During the Protests

During the protests in front of the White House in late May, US intelligence officers, President Donald Trump, recommended that they hide in an underground shelter.

“Everything was so bad that American intelligence recommended that the president head to the basement,” Justice Secretary of the United States Attorney William Barr said in an interview with Fox News, broadcast on Monday.

The minister added: “We cannot allow this to happen in the country.”

Earlier, the New York Times reported that Trump had landed on the night of May 30 to hide in an underground shelter in central Washington, during the riots near the White House.

The US President himself, in an interview with “Fox News” reporters on June 3, did not confirm this information, saying only that he had “gone there during the day.”

Trump confirmed that he was in the shelter “for a very short time, mainly for inspection.”
