Volkswagen Nivus Arrives with Style and Connectivity. Volkswagen officially presented the Nivus, which in its world premiere, arrives with a differentiated proposal in the compact SUV segment. It brings more style with a coupe profile, in addition to security and connectivity news.

The Nivus arrives with a body longer than that of the T-Cross, its closest brother in the segment, with the modular platform MQB-A0 with 2,566 m between axles and 4,266 m in length, in addition to 1,757 m in width and 1,493 m in height. He debuts the new Volkswagen logo in Brazil.

Offering a trunk larger than the T-Cross (415 liters), the VW Nivus comes with an EA211 1.0 TSI Flex engine of 116 horsepower in gasoline and 128 horsepower in ethanol, in addition to 20.4 kgfm. The transmission is a six-speed Tiptronic with Sport mode and the possibility of changing gears on the steering wheel.

With front-wheel drive, the Nivus brings an expressive front endowed with full LED headlights with LED signature, as well as a stylized grille and bumper with sports lines, carrying fog lights with curved function and LED daytime running lights. The lower grid looks the same as the upper one.

Having a soft fall on the ceiling, towards the rear, the crossover-coupe also features an optical assembly with black finish and LED beam lights that connect the two lanterns, giving the model a more sporty look. The bumper comes with reflectors and the entire base of the body receives a black plastic finish.

Inside, the panel is similar to that of the Polo, with some exclusive elements. The main one is the VW Play multimedia with a 10-inch screen, with remote service applications from Volkswagen partners, as well as greater intuitiveness, 10 GB of internal HD and Android Auto and CarPlay systems.

The Nivus also has Active Info Display with a 10.25 inch screen among the novelties. With a new VW standard steering wheel, the Nivus also features an adaptive cruise control option with autonomous emergency braking (ACC Front Assist) and a post-collision system.

As standard, it comes with traction and stability controls, as well as a ramp start assistant and electronic differential lock, plus six airbags and Isofix.

The Nivus will also have a parking sensor, autopilot, complete electric trio, reverse camera, electric steering, split rear seat, fatigue detector, keyless entry and start, among others. The Beats sound system with amplifier and subwoofer must be part of the options.

The Volkswagen Nivus will be sold online with a virtual reality platform and also with personalized digital presentation on the German brand’s website. Pre-sales start at the beginning of the second semester.

It will come in Crystal White, Ninja Black, Moonstone Gray, Sirius Silver, Platinum Gray and Sunset Red, which is the launch color.

The price range will be below the main compact SUVs on the market and above premium hatches. That is, between R $ 80,000 and R $ 100,000. The South American markets receive Nivus until 2021, while Europe is left behind, with production in Spain being considered.
