Asia Economic Outlook 2019

Economic growth will be slightly below-trend in most Asia-Pacific economies next year as financial conditions tighten and global growth slows, according to Goldman Sachs Research.

The forecast also calls for fiscal policy to diverge throughout the region—with Japan tightening significantly, and China and South Korea easing. Trade tensions will remain a key source of uncertainty— and escalation of the US-China trade dispute will continue to be a key risk.
