Design inspired by…
The design of the V12 Speedstar is modern and dynamic. Incorporating two motifs, the legendary “DBR1” of Aston Martin, who won the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race in 1959 and the Nurburgring 1000km race, and the “CC100 Speed Star Concept” announced in 2013. It will also introduce the same materials and technologies used in Aston Martin’s latest sports car.
The Le Mans winner DBR1 is influencing the V12 Speedstar. The most notable victory in Aston Martin’s motorsport history is DBR1. The DBR1 was one of three cars that won both the World Sports Car Championship and Le Mans 24 Hours in the same year in the 1950s. The DBR1 not only plays an active part in motor sports but also its elegance in design enhances the value of Aston Martin as a famous car.
Meanwhile, the CC100 Speedstar concept was launched in 2013 to celebrate Aston Martin’s 100th anniversary. The CC100 Speedstar concept has also inspired Q by Aston Martin and Aston Martin’s design department to develop the V12 Speedstar for over a year.
5.2 liter V12 twin turbo installed
At the heart of the V12 Speedstar is a high-performance version of Aston Martin’s 5.2-liter V12 gasoline twin-turbo engine. The maximum output is about 700ps and the maximum torque is about 71.4kgm. With excellent performance, responsiveness and a thrilling V12 soundtrack, the engine is paired with a transaxle layout ZF 8-speed AT.
The powertrain on the Aston Martin V12 Speedstar has a wealth of characters. The engine notes and sound quality play an important role in the exhilarating driving experience.
