Genesis Announces the Prices for its X3 Opponent

Genesis is expanding its range to include a sporty mid-range SUV. The GV70 should become a veritable BMW X3 competitor. Now the prices are out.

The prices start well below 50,000 euros
The model range from Hyundai’s luxury subsidiary Genesis still consists of two upper-class models: the G80 and its SUV brother, the GV80. But support is coming soon – in the form of a small SUV brother named GV70. The sporty designed mid-range SUV with standard all-wheel drive and elegant interior could be serious competition for the BMW X3.

Design: GV70 looks sportier than its big brother
The body of the GV70 is designed to be more dynamic than that of its big brother, the GV80. The GV70 is also adorned with the typical Genesis features such as the large crest grill and the double-decker headlights. But it has larger air inlets in the front apron, the rear looks much rounder, the roof course more coupé-like. Different tailpipes are used at the rear depending on the equipment. There is a variant with two diagonally arranged exhaust pipes, similar to those found in Lexus F models or the performance exhaust of the current BMW M3 and M4, and a round version that is positioned quite high up in the apron. Honeycomb grille and a diffuser underline the sporty impression.

Genesis GV70

The rounded GV70 rear with a flatter roof line is sportier than the larger GV80.
Interior and equipment: Probably with a digital cockpit
Horizontal lines dominate the interior. It works almost without buttons and, like its siblings, is tidy and of high quality. A large, horizontal infotainment screen sits on the dashboard. The speedometer cannot yet be identified exactly, but the GV70 will probably also benefit from the digital unit that we know from the G80 and GV80. The SUV can be spiced up with a sports package. Among other things, it provides a special front apron, 21-inch wheels with a diamond pattern, a sports exhaust and a sports steering wheel, exclusive colors and carbon inlays for the interior.
