Taiwan stocks fluctuated and closed down today (21). The index once turned red in early trading and stood above the 12,900 mark. However, under the pressure of the TAI’s futures falling more than a hundred points, the weighted index also experienced adjustment pressure, closing at the lowest point and finally falling 80.50 points, closing at 12,795.12 points, the trading volume reached 170.605 billion yuan, falling below the 5-day moving average.
On the disk, MediaTek (2454), Largan, and Yujingguang showed gains, while TSMC closed in shock and Hon Hai was also under the market; stocks such as plastics, construction, and department stores performed better.
Looking ahead, Liao Zhehong, Manager of Allianz Taiwan Technology Fund, said that mainstream stocks are mainly related to IC foundry with strong performance, and other relatively unpopular stocks rotate due to their respective themes. In terms of the international situation, as the US general election approaches, more potential trade bans, geopolitical risks, and vaccine development progress are all important variables that will affect consumption momentum next year.
