Volkswagen Challenges Mercedes and BMW with an Electric Coupe

Volkswagen announced its willingness to launch a new coupe car to join its distinctive lineup during the coming period, to join the competitive race in the coupe category, which includes many international brands such as Mercedes and BMW.

Volkswagen explained that the new coupe is called the ID.5 GTX, which comes with a streamlined chassis that is similar in design to the bodies of modern BMW X6 cars, in addition to the advanced technology that it includes, by building on the MEB platforms that were tested in Modern ID.3, ID.4 and ID.6 cars.

The car derives the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX, its power through electric motors with a torque of 299 horsepower, capable of increasing its acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds, and it will also get advanced batteries that are enough to cover a distance of 497 km on a single charge, i.e. That its batteries may outperform the batteries of electric Mercedes cars of the same class.

The Volkswagen ID.5 GTX is shown in an exterior that includes advanced LED lights, wide 21-inch sports wheels, and a small aerodynamic spoiler is installed on its rear door to increase stability at high speeds.

As for the interior of the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX, it got leather seats that can accommodate five passengers, and the driving interface was equipped with large touch screens, and advanced electrical systems to control the positions and temperature of the seats.

As for the price of the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX, the company has not announced it until today, and it is likely that it will wait until its presentation in September.
