Why Lemon for Nails

Your nails are fragile, brittle, a little yellow and grow badly? No doubt, they need to be fortified! To help them, here are some totally natural recipes based on lemon.

Why lemon?
The virtues of lemon are no longer to present. This citrus fruit is an effective antiseptic, anti-fungal, anticasse, antijaunissement. And besides, it’s natural! One or two lemon treatments per week will allow you to treat your nails if they are striated, yellow, brittle, if they grow little, if they split or if they are contaminated by a fungus. You will tone and whiten them and avoid the same opportunity to go through the manicure box.

Fresh lemon
This recipe is simple and requires little time. Several solutions are available to you. You can lightly rub your nails against the lemon pulp. If you have a little more time in front of you, squeeze half a fresh lemon. If you do not have lemon, do not panic, you can also pour the equivalent of half a lemon in concentrated juice found in a small bottle and you mix it with a little warm water. Dip your fingers for ten to fifteen minutes. Lightly massage your cuticles to soften them. This will repel them without difficulty at the end of this bath.

Vegetable oil massage
After the lemon step, immerse your fingers in a bowl containing a little olive oil for ten minutes, then massage your nails. They are well hydrated. The must-have: then add a tablespoon of fine sugar, or baking soda, in the bowl of oil and pour everything on your hands: this is an opportunity to make a gentle and natural scrub.

Test the essential oil of lemon
You can also choose lemon essential oil instead of fresh lemon. Mix a tablespoon of sweet almond oil and three drops of lemon essential oil. Three drops are enough! It’s a powerful revitalizing cocktail!

With vegetable oil
Mix two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with two tablespoons of vegetable oil. Choose from argan oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil and castor oil. All organic preferably. All three are nourishing and invigorating for your tired nails. Massage your nails with this mixture and let it rest.
