Goldie Hawn started a laughing challenge today. What a challenging idea!

Our brain whose main domain is to overthink about coronavirus and its’ consequences today has to work the other way round and should command our body to smile, to shine, to laugh to relax?

“Laughing causes 15 facial muscles to contract as well using muscles in the arms, legs and torso. When we laugh hard, we can also work our abdominal muscles. The relaxed feeling after a bout of laughter is compared to the one felt after a good workout. Any tension in the muscles is lost, and endorphins, the chemicals which gives warm and fuzzy feelings are released into the brain…” What a great way to burn more calories…

And laughing is contagious. When we smile to somebody, she/he automatically smiles back. Give it a free try!

We are used to waiting something/someone to give us a positive feeling, to boost our mood, to make us happy. What if we re-learn and make a new habit? Habit of mastering our mind to initiate a laugh? Yes, there are laugher clubs, laughter masters, and laughter yoga. It is not the first time that we heard that laughter is a perfect way to help to change our mood, but we always have something more serious to do such as working, cleaning, cooking, taking care of the kids, watching TV etc..

“Laugher Yoga relieves stress, boots immunity, fights depression and eventually makes people into more positive thinker.”

It is a stressful period; this is not a joke. We are fighting against a worldwide pandemic; all the things we have learned so far are to be replaced with new ones. It takes years and a huge amount of effort to change an accustomed behavior and yet, we all are obliged to learn many new habits and way of lives within a couple of months. It takes an enormous amount of energy. It is more difficult not to move, not to get angry, not to get frustrated, not to get depressed, not to get fat…

“Laughter may improve the immune system; Negative thoughts manifest into chemical reactions by bringing more stress into your body and decrease the immunity. By contrast, positive thoughts can actually release neuropeptides that help fight stress and potentially more-serious illness. Laughter may ease pain by causing the body to produce its own painkillers. It can help lessen the depression and anxiety and may make you feel happier.”

There is a new disease called PCSD- Post Covid Stress Disease!

Well, a good laughter is start to fight against it and it’s for free…
